We can source and fit any stove of your choice. Here is a selection of the quality manufacturers we can supply:
Where to start?
The process starts with a free site survey from our experienced engineer. However, if this is inconvenient for you we can usually quote from photographs.
During our engineer’s visual inspection of the existing fireplace, flue and chimney stack (if present). They will discuss your requirements, advising you what is feasible and then offering you the most cost-effective option
All surveys are followed up with a quotation in writing. You will be advised on the heat kilowatt output required for your stove, based on the size of your room Your choice of stove is also determined by fireplace opening fit (if relevant), your preferably design and your projects’ budget.
Our most usual installation process for an existing fireplace is:
Removal of the existing surround, open up the fireplace to as large as possible. Render to the inside of the fireplace, which can then be painted.
Plastering to the outside of the fireplace, if it is required, as sometimes when a surround is removed it leaves an unsightly wall.
Fit the liner within the flue and install the stove. Usually a new hearth is required and this also gets installed at this stage.
If a beam, shelf or surround is required. This is fitted last.
A beam, shelf or surround can be fitted which are bespoke options and therefore made to order to suit your measurements requirement.
If you are looking for a stove but you do not have a chimney, we can install a twin wall flue system, a bespoke system specifically designed when a chimney is not present.
A hearth is usually required for the stove to sit on and a back panel on the wall behind the stove, for protection.
